Ugly Duckling: Belonging
It’s easier to work at being better than you are than to simply be who you are. We are very familiar with this theme: to be evaluated, to be compared with others, to receive “constructive feedback”, to make a self improvement action plan. Ultimately, we have become accustomed to being labelled and then taught to believe what the label says.
But what’s beyond all those learned identities that run our lives unconsciously? What if we had wings to fly, like the ugly duckling that turns to be a swan?
Inspired by this tale, originally written by H.C. Anderssen, we will look at the outdated narratives that sabotaged our dreams, let go of the false ideas that bind our wings, and powerfully create the story that will allows us to soar.
In this module the art and ancient ritual of storytelling will be introduced in a playful but profound way, as an invitation to create the narratives that best can serve the unfoldment of our unique essence.
“She felt something click inside. She suddenly realised she was no longer available for careers, relationships or thoughts that were not in alignment with her highest expression, desires and truth. Her worthiness had grown roots, and she was now unshakeable in the belief that she was worthy of a life of magic. And she knew that the only person that could give her that... was herself. So she put on her crown and got to work.”
